Cantata Partner Categories

Cantata offers a rich portfolio of products covering a broad range of solutions for multimedia services in both TDM and IP networks. Through our Partners, our products enable the development of communications applications covering voice, fax and video in both service provider and enterprise environments. A program covering so many industry segments can be far reaching and as such, we have five categories of Cantata Partners:

Application Partners consist of companies whose expertise is in developing software applications that have been integrated with the Excel enhanced service platforms, SnowShore IP Media Server or Brooktrout TR1034, SR 140, TruFax, TR1000 and TR1000 for Microsoft Speech Server. Application Partners may add other components, along with their software, to provide a complete system solution. These integrated systems provide a turnkey product that is marketed, sold, and fully supported by the partner. Application Partners offer a wide range of advanced enhanced solutions for both wireline and wireless in TDM, IP and enterprise networks.

Reseller Partners resell product and solutions to both the enterprise and service providers. These products include Brooktrout hardware and compatible software and Excel media gateways and enhanced service platforms. Depending on region, practice and level of expertise, Reseller Partners may also fall into industry categories known as channel, VAR, system integrator or distributor. Distributors may in fact sell to other Reseller Partners.

Hosted Services Partners, sometimes referred to in the industry as Application Service Providers (ASPs) or Service Bureaus, provide Cantata-based applications, in a hosted environment, to enterprises and other service providers or carriers. The Hosted Service Partner typically develops its own applications, or it may license applications from other Cantata Application Partners and offer them in their hosted service environment.

Technology Partners are providers of technology components that are complementary to the Cantata product line. Technology partners generally do not purchase product from Cantata, however, we do work closely with them. Technology Partners are providers of hardware and software, that when combined with Cantata products, enhance the overall solution and contribute to building a turnkey solution. Technology Partners' products include billing, chassis, VoiceXML, operating systems, ASR and TTS software, and I/O cards.

I³P Partners. IP Interoperability and Innovations Program (I3P) is Cantata’s interoperability program designed to conduct interoperability testing between Cantata-based platforms and other complementary VoIP (SIP & H.323) network devices. Third-party equipment may include, but is not limited to endpoints, IADs, softswitches, gateways, media servers, application servers, session boarder controllers and proxy servers.
