TMN Portugal Deploys Europe’s First IMS-ready Video Application on Cantata’s SnowShore IP Media Server
Cantata Product: SnowShore IP Media Server Next-Gen Application: 3G video mail service Now-Gen Implementation: Using Cantata’s SnowShore IP Media Server, TMN deployed an “IMS-ready” application with video greeting, playback and recording through VoiceXML. The entire project took only 12 weeks from the initial kick-off meeting with the implementation team to the commercial launch. TMN became the world’s first operator to have this innovative service commercially available to all of its 3G customers. “TMN has a history of leading the mobile market in Portugal with attractive, advanced services,” said Fernando Rodrigues, general manager of corporate business at TMN. “This deployment will enable us not only to launch a new and appealing 3G service, but also to benefit from the reliability and efficiency of a single platform for multiple messaging services.”
