Brooktrout, Esnatech and Iwatsu Provide Speech-Enabled Unified Messaging Solution to Small and Medium Businesses

NEW YORK CITY, SpeechTEK 2005, Booth #307, August 1, 2005—Brooktrout Technology, Esnatech, and Iwatsu today announced a speech-enabled unified messaging solution for small to medium businesses. The solution, which utilizes Iwatsu’s Enterprise-CS IP-PBX, Esna’s Telephony Office-LinX and Brooktrout’s speech platform, combines “find me – follow me” functionality with speech-enabled unified messaging to allow mobile workers to conveniently access their voice, email and fax messages from multiple devices including desk phones, cell phones, PDAs, and web browsers. This system is currently being used by companies such as Atlantic Southeast Airlines ASA and ACS Benefits Blue Cross Blue Shield Provider of North Carolina to help improve the efficiency and productivity of their distributed workforce and respond to customer queries in minutes versus hours.

Esnatech’s new Telephony Office-LinX Small Business Edition (SBE) is a complete Unified Communication solution for businesses with between 5 and 50 employees. Messages can be accessed conveniently from virtually any communication device, including office telephones, cell phones, PDAs, PCs, or any web browser – regardless of the incoming message type (i.e. voice, fax, e-mail). For example, by using Office-LinX’s built-in text-to-speech services, users can listen to e-mails, voice mails and direct fax messaging and respond to all communications in either text or speech format.
