Excel Switching Corporation and Qualmax, Inc. Join Forces for Market Introduction of Excel’s VoIP Gateway

(www.qualmax.net), two VoIP technology market leaders, today announced a partnership that teams the VoIP industry’s premier integrator and marketer with the most reliable and flexible, next-generation VoIP gateway. Under terms of the agreement, Qualmax will sell and support Excel’s new turnkey Integrated Media Gateway (IMG) 1010 offering throughout North America and Latin America.

Excel’s IMG 1010 offers service providers unparalleled performance along with unmatched reliability and flexibility. With its compact 1U form factor along with integrated SS7 and rich media processing capabilities, the IMG 1010 is a true carrier-grade VoIP gateway/transcoder that enables service providers to reduce their costs while improving call quality. This powerful and efficient platform combines both signaling and media in a single shelf, speeding time to market while reducing both the cost and complexity of implementing new services.

The IMG 1010 enables service providers to roll out a new offering without buying, integrating, or managing softswitches, application servers, media servers, proxy servers or registration servers. As a result, service providers receive the benefit of reducing capital expenses, having a faster time to market for new services, reducing operational costs and improving network performance.
