Excel Switching and Compro Technologies Partner to Deliver Turnkey Prepaid Solutions

--Leading Prepaid Application Developer to Create Full Suite of Next-Gen Services on Excel’s Open Media Server Platform--

Hyannis, Mass. and Forked River, N.J. – August 2, 2005 – Excel Switching Corp., a worldwide provider of carrier-class, open services platforms, media gateways, and media servers, announced today that Compro Technologies has joined its partner program to deliver revenue-generating turnkey prepaid solutions. Founded in 1992, Compro is a leader in advanced telephony solutions including VoIP, TDM, and SS7 applications, certified maintenance, and custom development.

As an application partner, Compro will develop feature-rich prepaid applications on Excel’s CSP 2090, and its extended family of “AnyGen” service creation platforms. These unique prepaid applications will offer carriers the ability to identify specific customer segments with targeted, differentiated features to attract loyal customers and generate revenue in any network environment. Applications in development include calling cards, tandem, and tandem DB.

Compro’s network application server-based applications are allowing service providers worldwide to deploy tandem, calling card, and enhanced services on Next Generation Network (NGN) or VCO systems. The applications reside within the service provider domain, and provide feature functionality for NGN elements including Media Gateways, Trunking Gateways, and Signaling Gateways. Compro’s Premise Application Server-based applications are deployed within the customer premise domain and support IP PBX, call shop, and other end user functions.
