CANTATA TECHNOLOGY LAUNCHES PARTNER PROGRAM TO EXPAND SELECTION
OF FEATURE-RICH COMMUNICATIONS SOLUTIONS FOR CARRIERS AND ENTERPRISES
WORLDWIDE
Program Supports and Promotes Worldwide Collaboration with
Select Companies to Deliver the Industry’s Most Innovative,
Personalized Communication Offerings
SAN JOSE, Calif. and NEEDHAM, Mass. –
SPRING VON 2006, Booth #425 – March 15, 2006—Cantata
Technology™, the world’s leading independent provider
of enabling communications technology, established through the combination
of Excel Switching Corporation and Brooktrout Technology, announced
today the launch of its Cantata Partner Program™.
The Cantata Partner Program is the next-generation successor to
Excel’s “Excel Partner Program” and Brooktrout’s
“Partner Access Network.” Historically, both companies
have differentiated themselves from their competition with a partner-centric
business model – one that embraces expert, local application
developers and channel partners to provide customized and localized
communications solutions backed by native support and market presence.
The Cantata Partner Program is an extension of that model and includes
a wider breadth of applications for both the carrier and enterprise
markets. Select companies that meet qualifying criteria can easily
work with Cantata’s open standards-based modular platforms
and leverage Cantata’s global presence to quickly create and
to deploy innovative, revenue-generating applications. The applications
may range from voice, video, messaging, as well as speech-enabled
services to IP fax and document management services.
“Helping service providers make converged calling and messaging
services a reality for their customers is challenging,” said
Saul Einbinder, senior vice president of marketing and business
development of uReach Technologies, a New Jersey-based provider
of enhanced communications applications to wireless, wireline and
broadband carriers. “The Cantata Partner Program allows us
to leverage Cantata’s strengths in product development, marketing
and business relationships to bring our hosted and licensed solutions
to market. We look forward to a continued successful relationship.”
Cantata Partner Program Categories
Through the Cantata Partner Program, Cantata will work closely with
a variety of leading communications companies to promote and sell
proven, differentiated applications to service providers and enterprises.
The program has five categories:
- Application Partners: Independent developers who offer applications
for service providers or enterprises. These partners are leading
the way for the next generation of communication services, enabling
innovative applications such as video and voice messaging, ring
back tones, conferencing, IP Centrex, IP PBX, IP call center and
more.
- Reseller Partners: Companies that resell Cantata product and
solutions to both the enterprise and service providers. Depending
on region, practice and level of service and expertise, a Reseller
Partner may also be known as a VAR, system integrator or distributor.
Distributors may, in fact, sell to other Reseller Partners.
- Hosted Service Partners: Companies that provide Cantata-based
applications, in a hosted environment, to enterprises and other
service providers or carriers. The Hosted Service Partner typically
develops its own applications, or it may license applications
from other Cantata Application Partners and offer them in its
hosted service environment.
- Technology Partners: Providers of technology components that
are complementary to the Cantata product offering. These partners
provide hardware and software, that when combined with Cantata
products, enhance and contribute to a more complete overall solution.
Technology Partners' products include billing, chassis, VoiceXML,
ASR and TTS software, I/O cards, etc.
- I3P Partners: The IP Interoperability and Innovations Program
(I3P) is Cantata’s interoperability program designed to
conduct interoperability testing between Cantata-based platforms
and other complementary VoIP (SIP & H.323) network devices.
Interoperability allows for easy deployment customer installations
without further testing, eliminating costly, time consuming trials
for proof of concept.
“Communications are continuing to advance with new services
such as instant messaging, video, presence, and broadband services.
To offer these new, cutting edge services and deploy them with confidence,
seamless deployment and simplified management becomes critical,”
said Bill Kelly, director of the Cantata Partner Program. “Networks
will need to be updated with flexible technology that integrates
easily into a current infrastructure. For those creating and delivering
anytime, anywhere communications solutions, Cantata’s successful
20-year track record as a dedicated partner enables us to provide
partners with the strongest foundation for innovation through market-proven
technology. Companies in the Cantata Partner Program are more than
just members – they are truly a part of our mission to be
at the leading edge of communications.”
Cantata Partner Program Benefits
Cantata Partners have access to a full range of benefits that include
lead referrals, co-op marketing funding, joint marketing program
development, industry visibility, representation at tradeshows,
and more. Also, as appropriate, technical benefits include advanced
product updates, partner lab access, and access to technical support
and engineering resources.
To be eligible for the Cantata Partner Program, companies must
meet specific qualification criteria. Resellers and system integrators
who purchase Cantata products through Cantata’s distribution
channel are eligible for membership.
