Cantata Technology President Named One of the “Top 100
Voices” in IP Communications
NEEDHAM, Mass., Nov. 6, 2006 – Cantata Technology™,
one of the world’s leading independent providers of enabling
communications technology, today announced that its president, J.C.
Murphy, was named one of the “Top 100 Voices of IP Communications”
by TMC’s Internet Telephony magazine. Selected by the editorial
staff of the publication, the Top 100 list recognizes the most influential,
significant, and groundbreaking leaders who have driven the development
of the VoIP market over the last decade. Murphy is featured in the
magazine's special 100th issue, available now.
“I am honored to receive this recognition, and feel that
this also reflects on the leadership of our team here at Cantata
who have developed the advanced IP technology and standards that
continue to move this industry forward,” said Murphy. “At
Cantata, we believe that one of the most significant advantages
of IP is that it allows convergence, including the convergence of
carrier and enterprise networks. This convergence of enterprise
and service provider applications is a key benefit of IP and opens
up new opportunities now and into the future.”
Cantata Technology provides enabling communications hardware and
software that empowers the creation and delivery of anytime, anywhere
IP-based communications applications. Used by both enterprises and
service providers, Cantata’s technology enables innovative
solutions including voice and video messaging, IP call centers,
fax over IP, prepaid applications, and speech-enabled services.
“Our committee looked back over the course of the last decade,
and came up with 100 people who we felt should be counted among
the Top 100 Voices. Some were present at the beginning. Some are
newer participants in our fast-growing market space. The common
thread among all of the Top 100 Voices is that they played a part
in the birth, growth and maturity of the IP Communications market,
and — carried upon the shoulders of this community —
the next generation of communications will evolve to heights we
have yet to imagine,” said Rich Tehrani, TMC president and
group-editor-in-chief.
