Cantata's Accelerator Program

Overview

The Cantata Accelerator Program reduces the time it takes you to develop your application on the Cantata system. This is an add-on to our Comprehensive Support Plan and is an attractively priced, bundled program designed to reduce your development time and improve your time to market by combining training and one-on-one Cantata Engineering assistance.

The Accelerator Program provides your developers a step-by-step process including intervals of Cantata assistance and your individual development time. We’ll be working together with your developers to create an application framework for call processing based on your call flows. The developer will then uses this framework as a basis to develop the complete application with the Cantata System. You then return to Cantata’s labs for joint call processing validation testing, a debugging phase used to ensure your application is processing calls in the recommended manner.

The Accelerator Program is not a “development for hire” program intended to replace an application developer, but rather, is intended to aid the experienced developer.

Eligible Customers

The Accelerator Program is targeting Developers (VARs), and Developer Carriers and requires the customer’s lab system to be covered under Cantata’s Comprehensive Developer Support Plan. The Accelerator Program is designed for customer using Cantata’s SwitchKit software. If you are not utilizing SwitchKit software please contact us for how we can package development assistance for you.

This program is not available directly to “end users”, although end users will benefit from this program as their application may be delivered sooner. This program may also be purchased through Distributors. This program is intended for new customers and the special discounted pricing is available within the first 90 days of purchasing a new system.

Accelerator Program Components

Bundled Package

The components of the Accelerator Program are bundled together as a comprehensive package that enables a developer customer to more effectively develop an application and include the following:

  • Indirect Comprehensive Support plan*
  • Cantata’s Developer Training (included in support plan)
  • Call flow review
  • Consulting to develop call processing framework based on call flows
  • Testing the completed application to validate proper call processing

Development Assistance

The Accelerator Program follows a development progression that has been proven to be successful over years of Cantata’s development assistance experience. Cantata assists you where most effective while not getting in the way of your developers. Please note that the development time frames are independent from the Cantata assistance intervals and may vary significantly from application to application.

  • Cantata shall create A Statement of Work (SOW), which will be mutually agreed to before the actual assistance is scheduled. The SOW will contain development timeframe information for scheduling purposes.
  • Establish a Cantata Lab system at your development location. Please contact your Cantata Sales representative (+1 508 862-3000) for pricing and delivery. A host environment is also required.
  • Your developer(s) attends Cantata training classes in Hyannis, MA (up to 2 weeks). This is included as part of the Comprehensive Developer Support Plan. Training details and scheduling.
  • After completing Cantata developer training the developer establishes application call flows and block diagrams (Estimated time: 1 week). A phased approach for the features required in the application is typically most successful. Providing phases with associated timeframes can help Cantata to gauge progress throughout the project. A Cantata engineer reviews these call flows (estimated time: 2 days).
  • The developer then works directly one-on one with an Cantata engineer to review the application call flows together. The Cantata engineer provides an application framework based on the call flows, which the developer can use as a basis for completing the overall application (up to 4 days).
  • Developer returns to the development location and substantially completes the application development (variable timeframe). Cantata Remote Technical support is provided during this stage to help overcome any issues encountered.
  • Developer brings their host and application into Cantata’s labs and works with an Cantata engineer to validate proper call processing (up to 4 days). This exercise also includes troubleshooting the application / Cantata system interoperation and making corrections.
  • Once the call processing validation testing is completed in our lab, the developer returns to the development location and utilizes Cantata’s Remote Technical Support Center to assist with development questions (ongoing).

*Comprehensive Developer Support Plan is purchased separately and is a pre-requisite for the Accelerator Program which uses alloted services.

Pricing Description

  • Accelerator Program fees: $9,000 (Non discountable). Travel expenses are not included.
  • Indirect Comprehensive Support Plan is a prerequisite: $10,000 (minimum fee). This includes: 2 training seats in Cantata’s developer training program, up to 4 professional services days, and ongoing Remote Technical Support. This price may be higher based on the quantity of equipment covered. Please refer to the Comprehensive Developer Support Plan document for further information.

On Site Options

If you prefer we can come to your location for some or all of this start up assistance. All on site development will be based on a mutually agreed to Statement Of Work (SOW). Cantata’s on customer site travel expenses shall be priced in the SOW.

  • Cantata will come train your developer(s) on site. We can customize our training to target your specific needs.
  • We work with you to provide the assistance required utilizing on site and remote assistance.

Conditions and Requirements

  • The pricing of the Accelerator Program components is not further discountable.
  • The customer is required to attend Cantata training before other assistance described herein is delivered.
  • This program assumes Customers are not covered under an existing Cantata Support Plan. If a customer does have a current support plan in place, the program is discounted to $9,000.
  • This program includes deducting training (up to 2 seats) and professional services (up to 4 days) allotments from your Indirect Comprehensive Support Plan.
  • The Accelerator Program price of $19,000 is available for a 90-day period from the shipment of the customer’s first lab system. This program is available to existing Cantata customers. However, normal professional services pricing take effect after the 90-day period expires.
  • A Cantata lab system purchase is not included. Please contact your Sales representative (+1 508 862 3000) for equipment pricing.
  • Customer must provide host environment and operating system.
  • Travel expenses are not included.
  • Customers with used equipment are required to re-certify the equipment through Cantata’s RE-UP program.
  • At its sole discretion, Cantata reserves the right to discontinue this program at any time.
  • At its sole discretion, Cantata reserves the right to limit customer eligibility, and / or system eligibility for this program.
