IMG 1010 Installation Assistance Program
Overview
Cantata offers the Integrated Media Gateway (IMG) Installation
Assistance Program, primarily targeted toward new IMG 1010 customers.
We will work with your technical representative to help them understand
the details of installing and operating the IMG 1010. Once the first
IMG is successfully installed and running, your Technical Representative
should then be able to successfully install additional IMG 1010
products. Cantata can also provide the complete installation of
all IMG 1010 products.
Eligible Customers
The Installation Assistance Program requires the customer’s
IMG system to be covered under Cantata’s Comprehensive Support
Plan in order to take advantage of the discounted program pricing.
This program is intended for new customers and the special discounted
pricing is available within the first 90 days of purchasing a new
system.
Installation Assistance Program Components
Bundled Package Description
The components of the Installation Assistance Program are bundled
together as an installation assistance package that steps through
the requirements, installation, and turn-up of your IMG system.
The program’s approach is to work remotely together to identify
and understand the requirements and to develop worksheets and a
system diagram. A Statement of Work (SOW) document will be issued
that will be specific to your installation. Once the pre-installation
requirements have been completed then the on-site turn up and testing
can take place, completing the installation.
Phase 1: Pre-Installation Remote Assistance
Working from Cantata's facility one on one with your technical
representative, we’ll ensure the following steps are completed
prior to installation:
- Review the IMG documentation and training CD table of contents
together for your reference.
- Work remotely together to establish the required interfaces.
- Discuss the requirements of the Element Server.
- Ensure you understand and gather the information required to
fill out the Nodal Worksheet
- Ensure you understand and gather the information required to
fill out the Network Worksheet
- Develop a Network diagram with your assistance
- Confirm the System is on site
- Define and confirm that the IMG is located in a rack or suitable
location
- Confirm power availability at the system (DC or AC)
- Environmental requirements review.
- Identify cabling required and ensure completion.
Phase 2: On site assistance
Once the above pre-installation items have been completed, the
assigned Cantata Technical Representative will come to your installation
site to assist you to complete the following tasks during IMG’s
testing and turn up phase.
- Physical installation, placing the IMG in the rack
- Connect the network and IP cabling as available and defined
in the pre-installation phase above.
- Load and configure the Element Management Server (EMS)
- Configure the IMG via the EMS using the worksheets and Network
diagram information completed as part of the pre-installation
activities above.
- Place test calls and trouble-shoot to establish and validate
proper call processing
- Testing the completed application to validate proper call processing

Conditions and Requirements
- The pricing of the Installation Assistance Program components
is not further discountable.
- The customer is expected to play a major role in this joint
effort. The main intention is to teach your technical representative
to install future IMG’s with no, or minimal, assistance.
- This program assumes Customers’ IMG is covered under
an existing Cantata Support Plan. If a customer does have a current
support plan in place, the program discount does not apply.
- The IMG system is purchased separately. Please contact your
Sales representative (+1 508 862 3000) for equipment pricing.
- Customer may be required provide EMS host environment and operating
system.
- Travel expenses are additional.
- At its sole discretion, Cantata reserves the right to discontinue
this program at any time.
- At its sole discretion, Cantata reserves the right to limit
customer eligibility, and / or system eligibility for this program.
