Cantata Offers Software-Based LAN Fax Expansion Capability

The Technology Expansion Capability (TEC) allows customers to increase the feature set on their TR1034™ fractional T1/E1 intelligent fax boards through the simple process of downloading and installing a software license key.

With TEC customers can easily and efficiently increase the channel densities on their new or existing TR1034 intelligent fax board without purchasing additional hardware or even opening up their fax server.

The first boards to be TEC-enabled by Cantata are the fractional T1/E1 configurations of the Brooktrout TR1034 intelligent fax boards. Using TEC, customers can upgrade to 8, 16 or 24 channels of T1 fax, or 10, 16, 20 or 30 channels of E1 fax. Since the TEC-enabled fractional TR1034 intelligent fax boards can be configured to accommodate higher channel densities, customers are able to free up valuable PCI slots. TEC also gives customers the flexibility to buy the density they need now and grow into their fax solution as their requirements change.

With TEC, additional channels are enabled using a downloadable software license key that installs onto any existing fractional T1/E1 TR1034 intelligent fax board. The software license key can be purchased from any authorized Cantata Technology reseller or application partner. This quick and easy path to higher density T1/E1 intelligent fax boards reduces system downtime, support costs, and simplifies administration.
